Helpful Guideline when Riding the Buses

Help us same money and resources by following a few simple rules while riding the buses to and from the Race.  With your cooperation, we can continue to provide these services to all our participants in the future.

  • There is no smoking permitted while on board any Port Authority bus.
  • No open containers of food or drink will be permitted on buses.
  • When leaving your bus please collect all trash and place in the appropriate reciprocals.
  • Port Authority reserves the right to substitute equipment and dictate the routings for the buses to and from Oakland.  Bus drivers will take the route dictated per order of the busing company.
  • REMEMBER, THIS IS A FREE SERVICE TO ALL RACE PARTICIPANTS.  If you make a reservation please make every effort to maintain your reservation. If you are planning to ride the bus only one way, we ask that you try to make other arrangements other than riding the bus. This will prevent near empty buses from running and ultimately saving money and resources.
  • If you need to cancel, please call 412.342.0500.
  • Buses will start loading passenger for the return trip to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Stores starting at approximately 10:30 AM. This will occur at the same location where passengers had been drop off.  Buses will leave the Race site as they fill to seating capacity.
  • All final buses will leave promptly at 11:30 AM.
  • Guide animals for visually or hearing impaired passengers are permitted on board. All other dogs and other animals are not permitted on Port Authority buses, or on the racecourse.
  •  If planning to ride the bus and you require bringing a wheelchair or scooter, please inform us of this when making your reservation.
